Many of the communities that have been supported by Local Energy Scotland to access community benefit funding have produced community action plans.

Community action plans are documents that set out a clear vision for the area with priorities supported by local people, a timeline for achieving them, and options for implementing them. This helps the community to work out what their priorities are when deciding how to use this funding.

“The extensive community engagement process funded by CARES has given the Finderne Development Trust a strong direction of travel. We can now progress with confidence that the community benefit funding we receive from the developers of the Logie Wind Farm, Hill of Glaschyle Renewables LLP, will address the right priorities for our rural community. From assisting local businesses to fund rural-based apprenticeships to developing key recreational routes, we aim to deliver long term legacy projects for our Finderne communities.”
