In 2014, I got involved in the local community project to build a run-of-river hydroelectric scheme. I thought I was just going to write a business plan but it turned out that my experience as a multi-national Project Manager, Global Supply Chain Systems Director, Business Consultant, and Supply Chain Practioner coupled with my refusal to take no for an answer and a tenacious capacity to make things happen means that not only did I write the plan, spearhead the development of a Community Action Plan, get very familiar with CARES, several other funds, Grid Curtailment, FiT, Due Diligence, Construction, secure and build the Project but I am still actively involved in the running and organisation of the scheme as an elected Director.
My favourite occupation is helping others to achieve what they want to achieve; helping them to get “Unstuck”; helping them to find another way because I am the Somebody who does what Everybody thinks Anybody could do but Nobody does. I love being in the background, helping others shine and achieve what might temporarily seem impossible.
My experience as a Business Consultant enables me to support, mentor, and offer ideas to anyone I work with as I have worked at board level and grass roots in a whole variety of companies, large and small.
