Financial advisors QMPF have completed a market engagement exercise and report for shared ownership which is now available to view on our website.

The report captures the findings from discussions with 23 market participants including developers, communities, and funders. It aims to provide a better understanding of the different commercial models used, identify any common barriers or challenges, and make recommendations to improve and accelerate the delivery of community shared ownership in onshore renewable energy projects.

This has been published to support the work on the Onshore Wind Sector Deal commitment to “publish a framework of practical approaches to support and encourage community shared ownership models” and we seek further feedback to inform the development of potential models.

We would be grateful for your feedback on the report and we will host an online workshop on Wednesday 31 January at 2pm to discuss next steps. This workshop is available to anyone with an interest including developers, communities and funders. If you would like the opportunity to provide feedback or attend the online workshop, please contact mark.brennan@localenergy.scot.
