Options Appraisal

Now you’ve gathered your data, got the community’s views and worked out what your Local Energy Plan looks to achieve, it’s time to consider your options and start thinking about what changes could be made to help tackle your community’s energy challenges.

Use this template to develop concept designs for heat, power and transport projects which could be carried out as part of your Local Energy Plan. Putting together these concept designs will help you compare each option in terms of suitability for your area, cost and what benefits it could bring.

It might be useful to jump back to the Community Engagement module from the Mobilisation stage to check how the different options relate to the ambitions of your community. Consulting the community at this stage can help you decide which changes to include in the Local Energy Plan.
