CARES Conference 2026: People make projects
Scotland has significant opportunities to develop renewable energy projects, improve community buildings, maximise energy storage and flexibility, and for communities to invest in commercial renewable energy.
Communities across Scotland are using renewable energy to tackle local challenges, reduce energy costs, generate income, and build a more sustainable future. However, projects do not happen on their own. People make projects. They bring communities together, build momentum, create partnerships, and turn ideas into projects and aspirations into lasting change.
This year’s CARES Conference brings together community organisations, professional advisers, developers, consultants, funders, policymakers, and delivery partners from across Scotland to explore what it takes to make projects happen. We’ll focus on the people and teams behind successful projects, the challenges they have overcome, and the lessons they have learned along the way.
You’ll leave with practical knowledge, valuable new connections and the confidence to take your next project forward.
Join us for a day of learning, collaboration and inspiration. Celebrate the people who make projects happen and discover what’s possible when communities take action.
