Local Energy Scotland, which manages and delivers the Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) on behalf of the Scottish Government, works with projects from inception to completion and continues to offer a flexible package of support to a wide range of renewable energy projects.
CARES support and funding is available to communities developing renewable energy, heat decarbonisation (including energy efficiency), and local energy system projects. CARES funding is tailored to the project needs and subject to Scottish Government funding being available. Technical advice development activity is typically provided through our framework of technical consultants, which makes the process of progressing your project quicker and easier.
