We’re looking for a local energy systems development specialist to become an employee of SCARF and join the Local Energy Scotland team delivering the Scottish Government’s Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES).

What does the role involve?

The local energy systems development specialist role will provide strategic direction and support for projects with a focus on local energy systems, where multiple technologies are delivered as part of a project and where there is a whole-system view considering electricity, heat, energy storage and transport.

The local energy systems development specialist will:

  • develop, maintain and promote an effective package of support for the development of community renewable energy projects
  • provide support for CARES colleagues in the development of projects
  • directly support projects as required, meeting agreed targets whilst delivering an excellent standard of service
  • represent Scarf and Local Energy Scotland to key partners.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week). The salary is £30,000 pa.
