The Fund is linked to EDF Renewables’ Corriemoillie Wind Farm in Ross-Shire and annual donations equate to £5,000 per MW of installed capacity at the Wind Farm per year. Donations to the Fund rise annually in accordance with the Consumer Price Index. The Fund is split into six sub-funds. Each community council area has its own local community fund and there is an Education and Training Fund covering all five community council areas. The Education and Training Fund accounts for 20% of the overall funding with the remaining 80% split across the five communities as follows: Contin 7%; Garve & District 80%; Lochbroom 1%; Marybank, Scatwell & Strathconon 5%; Strathpeffer 7% All sub-funds are held and administered by Foundation Scotland except the Garve & District sub-fund, which is administered by the Lochluichart Community Trust. |
