Community engagement services suppliers list

The Scottish Government’s Community and Renewable Energy Scheme (CARES) supports communities to engage with, participate in, and benefit from the energy transition to net zero emissions. Subject to funding availability, communities can access support from CARES to develop Community Action Plans where there are, or will be, community benefit funds delivered locally.

The community engagement services suppliers list below aims to help communities find suppliers that can deliver services that will help ensure they benefit from  renewables projects. The list includes suppliers that can help with:

  • Community profiles and action planning.
  • Support community responses to energy and income generation opportunities.
  • Facilitate consensus on community fund governance and strategy.

To join the community engagement services suppliers list, suppliers must be: 

  • Committed to working in alignment with the National Standards for Community Engagement.
  • Willing to engage with communities and respond to invitations to tender.
  • Able to demonstrate experience on at least three relevant projects.

Please note: the suppliers listed below meet these requirements but are not endorsed or recommended by Local Energy Scotland.
